Although its history remains in the brickwork
of the Mansion, the Abbey lifestyle has
changed considerably since the 11th century.
Today we, Beate and Karl-Heinz Seifert,
maintain the heritage of the Abbey on the
Elgersheimer Country Mansion through our
family run land cultivation and management business.
We live on the Mansion together with our three children, grandma Mathilde, our in-laws and their children.
On the grounds of the mansion we do not only keep two pony’s, but also rabbits, chickens, our black Labrador Seyka and many cats - it acts as a large petting zoo for animal lovers and children!
Our warm summer weather enables us to farm 2 hectares of asparagus fields, many different types of fruit trees and 2 vineyards, which provide the extraordinary views from the apartments. We also farm 10 hectares of wheat and sunflower fields, in addition to taking care of the much loved countryside surrounding the closest meanders of the River Main.
This provides our guests with a natural opportunity for swimming and watersports in the summer, at a very close walking distance from the Mansion itself.
